Also, the coolant that is in the Mercedes Benz bottle is actually G48 coolant. In North America its sold as Zerex G-48,also used by BMW until 2019,and older Volvos. So shop around to get the best price.

This video DOES NOT mention the radiator fan at all. Even though all the other procedures are correct, you CAN NOT SAY or ASSUME "10 minutes" is "enough time". To properly bleed the air out of the system, first remove pressure cap on reservoir, fill new coolant, turn on engine let it idle, when vehicle is at operating temperature 85-90°C, turn on heater inside car, up the temps to MAX HI, then WAIT for the rad fan to turn on by itself. DO NOT turn on A/C to turn on radiator fan, it does not help. Wait for the radiator fan to turn off itself. Let engine idle another 5 mins. Turn off engine, reinstall pressure cap on reservoir. DONE!!!

I thought about this method, but it has its issues. Extremely inefficient as far as time goes & the coolant/water ratio will be off given you haven't completely drained the system/block of water after final flush. There's also potential compatibility issues w/ flush agent & the system as well as some wear & stripping of metals from running just distilled water by itself. Some of these points are negligible & you proved that it's obviously possible. Just things to consider.

U won't harm anything if you drive 20-30 miles with distilled water. It will do good since it will clean the system. But you are right about that you don't drain all the liquid inside the system, even if you drain the engine block from it's plug there still 10-15 % of old fluid inside the system, but for me is ok if you maintain on time. Also newer mb fluid which is pink in color is good for about 10 years or 150k miles
