3 months ago I couldn't do a single pull up nowI can do 9, you gotta start with negatives and then work your way up until you reach around 5 and from there the fastest way to increase reps is with GTG method, I'm not gonna explain it here you can look it up. The downside of that method is that it doesn't have effect on strength and doesn't have carry over to other exercises

@@Zync21At random times of the day just do the pullups or pushups any number will do the trick but for specificity do 60percent of your max pull/pushups at random times of the day 1 time then do them after lets say 2 hours then again after 2 hours this is a godly trick i did this for litreally 1 day and i got from 2 reps to 6 reps

You do one max set and then you do more after. Your second and third set are not going to reach max. Everything in this video is a correct progression technique.

When u cross 10+ it's harder to improve the reps plus doesn't contribute a lot to muscle growth either. This routine is good for ppl stuck between 1 to 5 reps. To go beyond 20 weighted pull ups is the faster solution.

Last year, I could barely do 1 pull up. I got more serious with calisthenics this year and now I can do 11 strict pull ups. I’m just proud of myself because I was never serious about getting fit/going to the gym. I also gotta thank the gym homies for helping me out. 🙏🏼

Not bad my man! For beginners, I would recommend not going all the way down and go back up mid way down so that way you don’t use too much core to pull yourself back up. It’s the core that a lot beginners lack when doing something like this.

What you said is complete bullshit. Firstly the core always works during pull ups, in fact it's the most active muscle group in pulls ups. Secondly the core isn't responsible for getting yourself up, it's the arms and back

4 times a week until failure? I will need a video on faster recovery to to that. I'm in my 40s. I used to go hard like that. I got too many injuries. Now I only do light weight. No muscle failure stuff. Also I now only work the whole body once per week. One group each day. I look better. I feel better. Best yet, no injuries. Only progress. Yes, there are many other factors to include like diet and rest. I've gone through decades of trial and error. 4 times a week might be good for some, not everyone. Listen to your body. We got this! 👍💪🙏

@@branislavmatic9175 i started working out from scratch since two months, and used this approach very recently, I passed from 2 to 5 reps in approx a month, but I started differently, with a grease the groove approach, to avoid injury and to get used to the movements.

Bro, I recomend new guys trying to do pull ups to di weighged pull ups If you cant do 0 pull ups without weight than first try ti get 4 to 5 pull ups.Then yse your backpack to do 1 or 2 weighted pull ups. You will see the improvement❤🎉

if your max is 5, do like 3 instead, but more form focused, SLOW and controlled, you’ll find yourself feeling as if you pumped out five

you don't have to do until failure or hold , you can just try building speed in current pullups about 7 reps (since most people can do) you'll progress . still good advice tho

It works also I don’t recommend going for more reps immedietly. I strongly suggest you use this work out to get better quality pull ups which greatly benefits the muscles instead of training strictly for endurance

cool cool, gonna try this, end of the year imma do 10 x reps is the goal. tell me, what do you think about doing max several times a day? i do max 5 atm, then next time its about 3. then 3 again later. a fair time in between. yeah i get the over training part, but the muscles are barely activated, not fatigued. they just dont lift enough to do 10 yet, but i'm not tired as in fatigued imo. thats why i ask btw.

Dont so this, its to much. Studies also show that you shouldnt max on every set, especially not so often. Train 3 times per week and try to hit 4sets of 2 reps away from your max. This will give you improvement

what? isnt going max on every set like the key to building muscle? in weighted training by the 8-12 reps you should be maxing out and tiring. and if ur fatigued lowering the weights and hitting that 8-12 reps again until u can do less so lowering the weight again and trying to max out to 8-12 reps again

I don't do a lot of sets and reach fatigue but work out every day. My pullups increased from 1 to 4 (chin above the bar) and handstand pushups went from 1 to 5 (all the way down and up) in 12 days. And I'm on a 1000 cal deficit. Lost 2 kgs.

@@ChillinWitA7n7 I think you’re just genetically gifted, 0-1 came in about 2-3 weeks. 1-10 came after another month, and it’s been slow since. I got my first pull-up just by doing a bunch of negatives. Now I do 9 sets of max real pull-ups. Switching the grips in different sets ofc.

pull ups used to be so easy for me back when I was a kid or mostly never got tired well i did weigh almost nothing now i cant even get past 10 wtf age got me fked up and im so much heavyer so no energy heavyer and gets tired so much faster :( shoulda dedicated myself to working out when I was younger woulda of looks so ripped right now

I can see doing one round 3x p/wk. Then at the start of each week, you try to add one rep to your pullup total. This type of slow and steady approach wins. But three rounds of failure training 4x per week seems like a surefire way of getting CNS fatigue over time. Lack of patience is what gets people into trouble.

@@fabrizziogonzales817 You shouldn't be relying on calluses to maintain your grip. When I was starting out with pull ups I found that my right hand had no calluses, while my left had didn't. It was because my right arm had sufficient grip strength, but I was overcompensating with my left by trying to wrap it around the bar, which bunched the skin in my palm and created those calluses. If you have calluses on your hands from pull ups, you need to re-evaluate your grip and/or develop your grip strength with dead hangs.

Once I started training past failure I seen better results it hurts but doing that even once a week vs 100 pull-ups throughout the day is by far better and my posture has improved significantly in just 2 weeks
