This is the most helpful thing... I now know there's no way I can ever do it! Haha. Honestly, thank you

There is a way to prevent the mess when removing the filter. Take a punch or Philips screwdriver and poke a hole in it to let it drain FIRST....
@jonahvlogsdiy4143

Lol. That might actually work.

@@robertwilensik3711 At some point it has to come off whether it has a hole in it or not. Maybe take the screwdriver and use it as a T handle for the filter to remove it.

@@davewilliams1097 Agreed. It does have to come off eventually. But, if I can't get it off, I want to drive it to the dealer rather than get towed.

I believe it would be better to remove oil cap to create a vacuum before removing oil drain bolt

Yes that's also a good idea.

They need to fire the tech that tightened that oil drain plug, that will only end up stripping out the threads in the oil pan. They do the same damn thing with oil filters tightening them way to tight.

would have been nice to know WHERE the oil filter is located. I'm guessing Left side of oil pan near the back?

@@jonahvlogsdiy4143 I use the Ford filter I'm under warranty still and that's what they want. Other cars I use mobil one synthetic. In the past I used the Fram until I seen that comparison video showing the guy cutting them apart and how cheap they are made. I'll try to find the link for you but it's a easy search tested like 4 filters and the Fram was horrible.

@@jonahvlogsdiy4143 Wix is also quality filter. I would probably just stick with Motorcraft for warranty.
