+!Jake!YT You got free advice for waiting and doing nothing, and are apparently seeking acceptance and camaraderie for your valiant efforts. Way to go champ, you did it. You didn't unsubscribe from someone who produces quality content because he doesn't put out videos weekly because he has other priorities. You go girl. Props go out to Fortress for another quality video. Sorry for being toxic, but really? "Never gave up on you"? Lower standards of someone who gives out free things would be nice considering his content is only slightly shy of excellent. That's like going 'trick-or-treating' and complaining to someone about not having your favorite candy.

Thank you Paul for sharing such important information, just one question: what type of pull up do you recommend to learn the muscle up?

your personality seems to have changed, you were more relaxed and composed (more cool) your style of tone has even changed (not for the better). You seems a bit more dull now and you seem to be trying too hard in this video compared previous tutorial videos....but i can't deny this video was still great...due to its content more than your personality. i hope the others to come can have the same approach as your earlier tutorials.

This is part of my personality, it just might be a part you're unfamiliar with. This video had the approach of "To all the misinformed people, stop spreading exercise rumors" instead of the "Hello my friend, let me teach you something" approach. To have one emotion in life is dull, to be a rounded person and use proper emotions for any given situation is how every person ought to be, it's called being genuine and not putting on a show.

i agree with you leaning back allows you to use more back but at th eend of the day it comes down to the muscle you contract via mind muscle connection. some people can lean back and bring their elbows to the back to use their back, but if you're using your biceps to pull you up it's not a back workout. you forgot to mention min muscle connection.

Nice video Paul, but may I know what's your justification for such form in doing pull ups? You just told us how to focus on your back and biceps, but didn't mention why. I have never seen any athlete do pull ups as such you showed such as the arch in your back. What's your justification to why we should follow your form?

Hey Paul, so the traditional advice to keep your elbows tucked in to prevent elbow injury - does that still apply here? If you use a pronated grip and pull your shoulders to your wrist, that will force your elbows to flare out - injury risk or not?

Is it good to be hyperextended like that while performing the pull-up? I always thought it wasn't a stable position.
@ZhanHaoMak
9 жыл бұрын
The issue is with extension and letting your spine "hang free". Keep your ribs cage down and your lower back tight and you hold your entire body stiff - hyperextension in this form (unweighted) shouldn't be any problems. When your lower back and lower body goes soft and starts sagging - that's when you should stop. Personally I prefer to keep my body straight as it has great ab and lower back involvement.
