Man I’ve learned a lot from this channel but THIS has to be my favorite. Tried it last night on my leg tattoo and it’s honestly become one of my favorite tattoos I have. Thanks guys!

I dot. Have a stippling tattoo, but while I was doing a mentorship we had a lot of people coming in and asking for them, so I had to practice drawing it a lot, to the point I got tired of doing em 😂.

Maybe it’s just more practice but I feel like I’ve tried every voltage with every hand speed using my Bishop Wand Liner and I’m not able to get dark dots on clients, I keep the skin tight. I typically us t-tech 3 tight rl, 10 gauge. But after I stipple an area and wipe away the ink the skin barely has any ink in it. It’s getting pretty frustrating.

awesome mate, didnt you forget to talk about stroke? if you stipple with a 5mm stroke like a bishop liner, it's super easy to stipple, on a stroke below 4mm, i don't find stippleing as consistant. I find useing a 3rl is often too "big" a bugpin 3, is perfect for stipple!

I have also have great luck using the bishop. 3RL at 7V was perfect for using BigWasp bugpin needles. I just did my first stipple shaded tattoo behind the ear. Two dice. With soft shading. We decided stipple shading was best for it. And I can’t lie, we were right on spot with it. Definitely my favorite shading technique

@@tac0man_933 if you are useing the bishop packer, 4mm stroke, 7v would be a insane high voltage for stipple, they can go down to 4.5v.

Love your content!! The thing is that i am currently using the cheyenne hawk pen with the power unit and it does not go slower than 60 cps!! I tried it on fake skin but i do not get the same results as you do!! Any suggestions? Would the critical atomx work with my machine? Thank you 🙏

the best way to get this affect is to get your machine going slow enough to create the individual dots. if its to fast It will just look like a light line. And I believe it would work, but I'm not 100% sure

i feel that stiple shading is a step backwards in the tattooing world as technology has advanced so much and technique has become so advanced because of that, its interesting but a smooth shade is easier to achieve and looks better, maybe thats just me.

I’m looking to tattoo realism pointillism. Could you explain the difference using a machine vs hand poke tool and whip shading vs dot work?
