Yes I can do this serve...❤ This one is tough to learn but quite impressive to use it in matches.😂

I'm new to table tennis, may I ask why it was necessary for it to be hit with a form of a backspin serve? Why not just forehand serve with same angle?
@victorli69
7 ай бұрын
This serve is usually more for armatures, usually 4 years of experience because they will get tricked by it. Table tennis is a very mind gamed sport for those with 4 ish years of experience so when they see an open racket on the forehand, they will expect the most popular serve, the pendulum. The pendulum is back side spin so when a topspin comes blasting at them it will be unexpected and the chance of failure increases. A more experienced player could usually just block the serve but if you make it really fast, it’s possible for them to struggle for it

Would it work the same if you just do a topspin serve with the backhand side?
@beag4me886
9 ай бұрын
Probably not because you can't get this much force with just the backhand. And it's possible with the forehand but then it's very hard to do it consistently. Doing it the normal way gives it great topspin and you can still control it.

But when you incline the forehand just like your backhand here it must be the same…but easier ?! So why backhand ? To do fake ?

Is it a legal serve? And , why don’t the pros use it?
@turnatle
9 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s legal. Pro’s don’t use it because it can be atttacked back easily after a certain level. You just have to have quick footwork, read serves well, and know how to use the serve’s speed against the server. Short serves to set up an attack work better

In pro level, everyone knows how to recive most of the serves, and serve is mostly used as a setup for your next stroke not as to win with the serve

Because there is a high risk of not hitting the table. The ball is thrown legally, so why shouldn't it be a legal serve?

I imagine to get enough speed to gain points, they’d be losing 2-3 points for every 1 point gain, and look like an asshole who’s trying to throw away the match.

That's pretty good. But I do my "fastest" serves with a completely different (original?) grip, style, and techniques. I will attempt to break not only the world's fastest forehand serve record, but also the backhand as well, if there is one. Let's see how many years from now will it take. 11/20/23
