Best video on the jacking up a IS350. Clear and to the point. Excellent.

Do you happen to remember where you bought those ramps? My wife has a 2015 IS 350 F-Sport. It is very low to the ground, so I need a low set of ramps to use in order to get the jack underneath it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Great video. Do you or does anyone know if that A3 filter is the same for 2017 IS300 AWD? My sons ES350 and my 350 use the A1 filter. I’m a little confused as my wife’s IS300 has the 3.5 liter. Any help would be great. Thx.

I wouldn’t want to be responsible for telling you the wrong p/n so the best thing to do is call the dealership and give them your vin number and ask them what the correct p/n is.

Great video. What do you do if you do have a small oil leak on the oil filter housing? I installed the New oem seal on the right spot and lubricated it but I have a small leak. I have taken it apart and the o-ring is not torn.

Interesting. If that happened to me, I would try to troubleshoot by process of elimination. First off, make sure it's a constant leak, not just left over oil spillage from the oil change. So wipe it clean, spay with some brake cleaner and come back after driving it a few days to see if it's still leaking. If it's still leaking, narrow it down by location. Make sure it's leaking from where the filter housing connects (and not anywhere else, like from above or possibly a crack in the housing). The filter housing is a cast aluminum part (unless yours is the plastic version), and although rare or unlikely, cast aluminum parts can sometimes have pinhole defects or cracks that can leak at very slow rates. Then if you've determined it's somehow leaking from the threaded area or O ring, I would check to make sure the housing isn't cross threaded or the threads are damaged. If the housing is fine, then I would go buy another O-ring and try again--making sure it's an OEM O-ring.

It's just the little bit of oil that is after the oring. It will go away after you wipe it a couple of times. Or just ignore it.

@@ChrisLumNSX turned out there was a pinhole defect in the cast housing causing a small leak. Bought a new OEM housing and the problem was solved. Thanks

Not sure what those are. Everything you see in the video is what mine came with. Just the filter element filter housing O ring.

That Motivx oil filter cap wrench is no longer available on Amazon. It was redesigned last year, about nine months ago. The new wrench that replaced it has no slots on it and fits all Toyotas with the cartridge filters. You should know this cause the link you posted takes us to the listing for the new redesigned wrench. Also the old wrench was made with forged aluminum not cast aluminum. And the new one does not accept a 27 mm socket. The new one takes a 24 mm socket. Still this was one of the best thorough Lexus oil change videos I've seen in a while. Good job. 👍 I liked the fact that you said to be careful when using a pick or screwdriver to remove the old o-ring. But it's actually very easy to remove it without using any tools.. kzitem.info/news/bejne/wmZ6xap9f5l9d20

Thanks for watching! Yup I noticed the filter wrench was updated when I retrieved the link but everything I said in the video still holds true for the wrench I have lol just sucks that I didn’t have the updated version and it won’t apply for anyone who buys the new wrench.
