Great interview! Fascinating deep dive into the world of an entrepreneurial restauranter. Very articulate and highly knowledgable about the industry. 'Classic and timeless' tend to always prevail. Brilliant strategic concepts from arrival to clientele profiling... plus a little 'divine intervention' never goes astray. Joey definitely has piercing insights and knows the space well. No wonder the brand is a huge success. Loved the rapid fire Q's, JT! You always bring the 🔥!

I like that a lot of JT's podcasts' guests have been regular entrepreneurs who just have had a never quit mentality and just grind it out till they are successful. It's inspiring

Great insight how he strategically navigated his early days to learn, build his reputation, and trade income for equity early on to help build the brand and empire he has today. He doubled down on himself. So many great nuggets that span several industries for sure! I'd also say a subtle part about this interview was early on when we learned you were up at 5am to do this interview. Thanks for leading once again by example and doing what it takes to make it happen.

Honestly, it was very interesting to listen to. True insights from the real experience. The one comparison is dancing in mind... that choosing a great restaurant, a great place is like choosing a significant other in your life. It's not about some separate features that attract. It's the sense of wanting to come back (home) every evening. How you feel when she or he enters the room. When you can find warmth, trust, good taste and fun in one place. That surprises you every time with a great sense of being in a right place in the present moment.

I thought I was the only one who used to treat the tables I served as my own business. Good to know. We only made like $2.75 plus tips in 1990s GA, so we had to hustle. I heard that they were still making the same up until the pandemic. Had me thinking about my own youthful voyage from Server to Trainer to Cook to KM/ GM. Anyway, Interesting conversation, Joey and JT.
