Today we draft a sleeve... for the half-scale bodice I shared how to drape last week. If you missed it, there's a link to this tutorial below. I'm a "jump in the car and start driving" kind of girl, even if I'm not 100% sure about where I'm going. I approached this sleeve draft the same way... I didn't have an arm to fit the sleeve to, so I just eyeballed it and drafted a sleeve without measurements. ...It was way to small. I'll share how to measure the armhole plate on your half scale dress form and how to measure the height of the armhole to determine the height of the cap. Then see how I adjusted the length of the bicep line and curves of the bell shaped cap to get it to fit the armhole.

00 Half Scale Sleeve Draft without taking any measurements
43 Using the dimensions of the armhole plate and front/back armholes
33 Using armhole height for cap height and increasing the bicep length got me closer... but I still need more width and curve shape
52 How I drafted a half scale sleeve that fit into the armhole
56 The back cap is higher and less curved than the front of the cap
