My friend put 1Ltr😂 2stroke oil in the Fuel tank instead of 2T tank. Now the scooter is not starting and its giving a lot of smoke when we try to start. Can you please suggest what to do? Its Zoot 50Cc 2stroke scooter.
@VirberelloScooterTips
Жыл бұрын
Oh no! It seems like your friend made a mistake by putting 1 liter of 2-stroke oil in the fuel tank instead of the designated 2T tank. The excess oil in the fuel can cause starting issues and excessive smoke. Here are a few steps you can take to address the situation: Drain the fuel tank: Carefully drain the fuel tank to remove the oil-fuel mixture. You can use a siphon or a drain plug if your scooter has one. Make sure to collect the mixture in a suitable container for proper disposal. Clean the carburetor: Since the oil has likely passed through the fuel system, it's a good idea to clean the carburetor. Disassemble the carburetor and clean all the components thoroughly using an appropriate carburetor cleaner. Pay special attention to the jets and passages to ensure they are clear of any oil residue. Check the spark plug: Remove the spark plug and inspect it for fouling. If it's heavily coated with oil, clean or replace it as necessary. A fouled spark plug can hinder starting and cause poor combustion. Refill with proper fuel mixture: Once the fuel tank is drained and the carburetor is cleaned, refill the fuel tank with the correct fuel mixture. The Zoot 50cc 2-stroke scooter requires a specific fuel-to-oil ratio. Consult the scooter's manual or contact the manufacturer for the appropriate ratio and use a measuring container to ensure accuracy. Start the scooter: After everything is properly reassembled, try starting the scooter. It may take a few attempts for the excess oil to clear out of the system. If the scooter still doesn't start or continues to emit excessive smoke, it's best to seek professional assistance from a mechanic or a scooter dealership. Remember to always be cautious and follow safety guidelines when working with flammable substances and scooter components. Thank you for watching my video

@VirberelloScooterTips
10 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching my video If Petrol leaking from the tank breather hose on your 50cc scooter could be due to: Overfilling: Ensure you didn't overfill the tank. Blocked hose: Check for any obstructions or kinks in the breather hose. Faulty fuel cap: Inspect the cap for damage; it may not be venting properly. Fuel system issues: There could be problems with the carburetor float or fuel pump. Address these issues systematically, starting with checking the fuel level and hose, and seek professional help if needed.

Brother i have a question i let my scooter sit for a year with gas and in it 😢 in now the inside of my gas tank a little rusty do i have to remove the tank to clean out the rust or can i clean it out without removing the tank with vinegar and baking soda please help
@VirberelloScooterTips
4 ай бұрын
Hey there! I appreciate your question. Rust in the gas tank can definitely be a hassle, but there are a few methods you can try to clean it out without necessarily removing the tank. Using a mixture of vinegar and baking soda can be effective in removing rust. Here's what you can do: Drain the old gas from the tank. Keep the fuel tank disconnect from your fuel system and plug the lower tank fuel nipple Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a container large enough to submerge the gas tank. Pour the mixture into the tank, ensuring that it covers the rusted areas completely. Let it sit for several hours or overnight to allow the vinegar to dissolve the rust. After soaking, rinse the tank thoroughly with water to remove any remaining vinegar solution. Next, create a paste using baking soda and water. Apply this paste to the rusted areas and scrub gently with a brush or sponge. Rinse the tank again with water to remove the baking soda paste. Finally, dry the tank thoroughly to prevent further rusting. This method might take some time and effort, but it can be effective in removing rust without having to remove the tank. However, if the rust is severe or if you're unsure about the effectiveness of this method, it might be best to consult a professional or consider removing the tank for a more thorough cleaning. Remember to also inspect your fuel system and replace any filters or components that may have been affected by the rust. And in the future, it's a good idea to store your scooter with an empty tank or use a fuel stabilizer if it will be sitting for an extended period. Good luck, and I hope your scooter is back in top shape soon! and thank you for watching my video

i was new to scooters and didnt drain my fuel over the winter in the uk and we have had a pretty wet and cold one. i went to start it today and its not fireing its trying to but wont. do you think if i drain the fuel and carb cable and fill with new fuel i maybe ok. the spark plug is sparking and air filter is clean. battery is on charge now too to see if theres enough charge as it was a new battery.
@VirberelloScooterTips
7 ай бұрын
Based on the symptoms you described, it's possible that the fuel in your scooter may have degraded over the winter due to moisture and temperature fluctuations, leading to difficulties in starting the engine. Here's what you can try: Drain the old fuel: If the fuel has been sitting for a long time, it may have deteriorated. Drain the old fuel completely from the fuel tank and also consider draining the carburetor to ensure no old fuel remains in the system. Check the carburetor: Even if you drain the fuel, there might still be residue or clogs in the carburetor. Cleaning the carburetor thoroughly can help ensure proper fuel delivery to the engine. Replace with fresh fuel: After draining the old fuel, fill the tank with fresh, high-quality fuel. This will help ensure optimal engine performance. Check the battery: Since you mentioned that you're charging the battery, make sure it has enough charge to effectively start the engine. A weak battery can sometimes prevent the engine from starting even if everything else seems fine. Inspect the spark plug: While you mentioned that the spark plug is sparking, it's still a good idea to inspect it for any signs of fouling or damage. If the spark plug looks worn or dirty, consider replacing it with a new one. Check for other issues: If the scooter still doesn't start after performing the above steps, there may be other underlying issues such as ignition system problems or mechanical issues. In such cases, it might be best to consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis and repair. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the starting issue with your scooter. Thank you for watching my video

Hello if you place little oil is not bad but you will lose power and your sparkplug will get dirty from the oil and will build more carbon in top of the piston in a long way, so oil is not to good for a 150cc to mix with the fuel

My scooter has a drain screw at the end of a tube coming from the carburetor. Every so often it vibrates loose and I start leaking fuel.
