Hi Magda, I've been getting this question a lot recently. I'm thinking about putting together a "Beginner's Drawing Series" too. What kind of things are you ultimately trying to draw: faces, people, cartoony characters, animals, etc? (please be specific).

@@cartoonblock Mostly black & white illustrations. That's my favorite. I dabble in digital painting, but I'm nowhere near as good as so many of the artists out there. In my day job, I draw large visuals for big companies as communication and engagement tools. But on the side, I'm also an illustrator and a bit of an animator. I wrote a novel called Yellowstone: The Bears of Caldera, which I illustrated. You can see the animated trailer I made for it on my channel. :-)

I never got any proper lessons,, so when I taught myself to draw its basically looking at the image trying to mimic it and doing so it tends to be spot on save some lack of symmetry in certain areas. Really great stuff man!

Thanks for posting these tutorials. I'm literally blown away at what I was able to put on paper with a few pencils and your vids. I remember spending hours drawing a single image of "Pitt" years ago and can't believe what I've just accomplished in under 30 mins. Amazing and thanks again for giving me something I can pass down to my kids one day.

Quick Question. How do you feel about non-photo blue pencils? I like to use them when I am drawing in my sketch book or on bristol paper at my drawing table. That way, I can rough out the figure and make my mistakes and just go over it with the HB graphite pencil and just go over the shape and lines I want. Plus, it is good for comic book layouts cause they don't scan, just the graphite pencil or inks (Whichever you use!) do. Just wanted to know if you used them cause I do and I love 'em! : )

It's a cool drawing I personally liked the hairstyle that you covered up with the post it more than the one u went with I think it's because the one you went with made him look like Sandman so it kind of made me think villain. Also can you do a tutorial on how to draw a superhero costume and how you would go about drawing a mask that covers up the whole face.
