Great thanks to the author! I'm very glad that eventually someone gives us such valuable content. Being Electrical Control Design Engineer I find this videos extremely valuable for me. So, please sir, provide more information about designing (preferably using EPLAN) industrial automation. For example using safety relays, sensors connection on the diagram, designing control panels, dealing with terminals and so... Perhaps looking through out one of your projects

Great video.!!!! I may be mistaken but shouldn't the "motor fault " XIC bit be in series with the stop XIC?
@Upmation
3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Ben! Sorry for missing out on your comment. The short answer to your question is, No! That is because the stop condition will depend on "Stop" AND "XIC" at the same time. It means that to be able to stop the motor, there should be a motor fault AND the "Stop" push button should be pushed simultaneously. For instance, if we push the "Stop" push button and there is not a motor fault in the circuit, then the motor WILL NOT STOP. So putting them in parallel will make them independent. Please let me know if I can be of further help.

Hello sir, I'm confused about the NC motor fault in the ladder diagram. Shouldn't it be in series with the forward and the series NO contacts, so that when a short circuit occured, it will switch to NO and cuts the contacts of the motor? Please explain that issue in detail.

Hi, I am confused about wiring in 7:28. I see that you have used sinking type of connection(24VDC to coils), but i have checked the electrical diagram of this module in datasheet, and I saw that the outputs should be connected to the GND(sourcing type of output module), not 24VDC. Is this particular module both sinking and sourcing, I cannot find the information about that. Sorry, for my English skills ;) I would be grateful for response
@Upmation
3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thank you for your comment. Yes, you're right and it's a mistake in the drawing of the DO card. There should be '0 volts' connected to the other side of the devices that are connected to the DO card. Sorry about that! :)

@@Upmation Thanks for response! but I have second question, the Q1 motor overload switch have additional NC contact, so when it is ON the contact is closed, and whent it is OFF the contact is open? I am asking because considering relay it would be closed not energized, and open when the coil is energized. So it works in a different way
