I have a theory. If you look for old photos of Daniel Craig, you will see him wearing clothes that are in rather bad taste. Ill-fitting suits, careless jeans, etc. And there has been a considerable change since he started playing James Bond. Taking into account that 007 is a franchise very focused on image, I believe that there is a contractual clause that involves the personal lives of the actors who play him, that they need to look good outside of the films as well. After all, these actors have carried the image of the franchise for several years. And their image inevitably becomes the image of the 007 brand. Does that make sense?

That does make sense, for sure. I also imagine he got inspired and introduced to better ways of dressing from being involved in the franchise

I'm pretty sure they also take into consideration how the actor looks and dresses in his personal life before being cast. It's much easier to imagine a Tom Hiddleston or Henry Cavill being Bond since they already look the part.

I must disagree when you say Daniel Crag was the best dressed James Bond. The best dress was Sean Connery. He is head and shoulders about the rest.

Daniel Craig and Ryan Reynolds are my style-muse when it comes to casual / smart-casual outifts. Theirs are just so effortlessly cool. And I have to advocate for sneakers and their place in mens wardrobe. Often time mens abides by the "appropriateness" of what to wear at which age groups; which unfortunately, can mean subtlety over flairs. A colourful pair of sneakers are not only comfortable, but injects a playfulness to what otherwise would be a pretty standard outfits, and allows the wearer to express a side of themselves to those who notices.

I need me a berry colored velvet dinner jacket!😆Not really, but he rocked it. And the wide lapel double breasted jacket is honestly awesome, that's something I would wear if I could get my hands on it. I guess I agree about the red pocket square, unless he's wearing red socks we can't see in the photo. I don't tend to wear jeans but he does look good and dark wash is the way to go, and I hardly ever wear T shirts unless I'm just hanging about at home but as you say he definitely has the physique for it. I love my chukka boots so much that right now I need to get them resoled. Cheers.

I cannot and would not wear my clothes as trim fitted as Craig can/does. But he wore a really sharp three-quarter length Tom Ford navy topcoat in Skyfall. I went out and bought one (that looks) just like it.

I don't understand this recent odd hairstyle change that he's sporting in the shot of him in the wide lapel blue dinner jacket with Rachel and the spectacles. It makes him look a lot older than he is.

I must say I appreciated his style as Benoit Blanc, especially in the first movie. All the classics with a certain quirk without getting too excentric. In the second movie, they camped it up quite a bit (eg THAT swim suit). With the setting of the movie in mind, I find it made sense though. Context is everything. I hope they don't make him a caricature of himself for the third installment.

Sorry but I'm not a fan. He was not bad in his first two Bond films but really lost his way later on with decidedly too tight suits which made him look like a stuffed sausage, especially that ill fitting 'rose' colored gala suit made by Anderson Sheppard (they should be ashamed of themselves for letting him out the store) . IMHO he exudes zero charisma in real life as well as in the movies although I envy his $50,000,000 USD salary for his last Bond fiasco! LOL.

I have no idea why Craig would choose to live in this s... hole. I live in Brooklyn so I get to stay away from that dumpster. And sorry but even though I'm his fan based on his 007 performance, his personal wardrobe is just horrible- not much elegance there.
