In Season 2 they renamed Optimized drift to Precision drift. They're the same thing. The 2-3 frame timing is probably a much lighter tap than you're used to. I found this website that measure how long you hold keys down and it's pretty accurate. Try to get a feel for the 30ms to 50ms timing. A 1-frame timing would be ~16ms. blog.seethis.link/scan-rate-estimator/ Also I noticed some of my Drift button inputs were a little over 3-frames. I was still able to do very quick drifts despite that. The idea is that your tap should be extremely light. As long as you're satisfying the conditions I explained at 4:39 you're doing it right.

This website totally exposed me. I can hardly do 16ms. Seems like I'm averaging 68ms. The only way I get 16ms is by very lightly tapping my keyboard. I wonder if setting it to mechanical mode helps

its kinda blocky so it's easier to see the angle. it's also not skinny like bus so it's easier to gauge if you're doing the technique right like how i explained at 4:42

nice video! it's nice to see a proper guide on the best ways to drift. i feel like it's so easy to build up bad habits that "work" but hurt in the longrun. i'll have to go back and relearn again

Thanks! Does this mean that we should be trying to start a drift with this technique whenever feasible?

Japanese community needs your guide. There are players who want to get good. But good Japanese players are not willing to make a further video for them.. your 'how to drift' part 1 video and cut drift, short-full, combo boost guides are all they have in Japanese language.
