Hi please where are you from in Cameron. I’m from Ibibio tribe in Akwa Ibom State in Southern Nigeria and we call it “Nkongobong” while you call it “Okongobong”. It’s right? Excited to meet you. I’m building a dehydrator for my leaves anyway.

@darrinakpambang3810 That is lovely 😍 I wish to one day get one because dehydrators are good...Way good. Thank you so much for watching and I am even more excited to meet you. Over 80 percent of my ancestral genes are from Nigeria ..I'll explain that someday but I have noticed cameroon and Nigeria has similar meals ..A lot of meals are the same , sometimes cooked differently.

Hey ma'am ..Thank you for Watching 🤍🙏..I have Never tried it with cold water but I don't think it will give you the same results...using cold water is common with veggies like bitterleaf which I have tried but pumpkin leaves is way softer for that much pressure. Thank you 🤍

Hey ! Thank you for watching 😊 This is to retain the colour when cooking .. However, in this case , this is to prevent it from also getting bad . In my own experience, I once dried pumpkin leaves , and didn't use limestone to wash it ..just warm water , and it caught cold easily, whereas when I used limestone to wash it before drying, and it lasted for over 8 months.

Honestly you have lost 95 percent of what you need in your ugwu leave. All that is left is shaft.
