Great video! Thank you for including all the key commands along with your explanation, as well as taking time to explain it. Too many creators just breeze through instructions so you have to rewind over and over to get it all. Well done!

Adobe Premiere tip: when importing timelapse photos, make sure the photos are in their own folder and the file names are sequential and all you need to do is select the first image and check "image sequence" at the bottom. It will import it as a video file!

I bought and watched your CreativeLive course last night - Shooting Documentary Short Films - and decided to try this technique out with FCPX and my Nikon D7100. This is such a simple thing to do with that camera and FCPX that I am really sorry I didn't know about this technique earlier. I have a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was changing the battery. I wanted some video of the interesting bits (actually swapping out the battery), but wanted to cut through the boring stuff without losing the continuity. So, before I could actually remove and replace the battery, I had to jack the bike up, remove the saddle bags, and remove the seat. Time lapsing that down to 10 seconds means I can skip to the important bits, and just voiceover the set up with a sentence "Before you can actually remove the battery, you need to jack the bike up, remove the saddlebags and take off the seat." That sentence takes just under 8 seconds and the time lapse makes this a more visually interesting piece of the entire video.
