Using images in Adobe Illustrator art is a great way to add texture, but it can be difficult to select objects below the images - especially when using a clipping mask. However, you don’t have to unmask or release the clipping mask to edit. Instead, use the layers panel to select, move, and add more content to the clipping mask without taking it apart.
In this video, I show you some tips, including how to make your layer thumbnails larger and easier to see. Clipping masks are an important part of working in Illustrator, and knowing the most efficient way to edit inside them can help you work faster.
Also, learn how to turn off/on the preference “Select and Unlock objects on canvas.”
