Hi Paul, thanks for this tutorial. I have tried healing on JPG images to remove unwanted objects and it does not work very well, it smudges the image and destroys it. Have not tried it it’s a raw image yet but I’m sure it will work as it did when you edited your raw image.

Great video - super informative! Just curious - how do you get your photos from your camera onto you ipad? Are you using a lightning to SD card reader? Is there a wireless external HD that you can store the photos on AND edit from without downloading onto the actual ipad? And how do you export the photos off the ipad after (if you don't have a cloud setup of sort)?? Thanks so much!
@photogenius

Hi Angela. I made a short video on this subject, you might like to check it out : kzitem.info/news/bejne/xZ-czn-FgmNjhW0 Some cameras like the Nikon D3400 can transfer images to your iPad using SnapBridge. I generally use a SD to Lightning reader (see video). I export images to my desktop via Airdrop.
@notunhungry4025
6 жыл бұрын
Ah yes - thanks for the reply & link! Just to clarify, the lightning to SD card reader will only allow you to edit your photos on the ipad or phone if it uploads the photos onto the device is that right?? You can't work off of the SD-Lightning adaptor like a hard drive? Do you know a way where you don't have to actually upload the pictures onto the device (limited ipad storage and large photos are not the most convenient for travel!) & can still edit them in Snapseed? Alternatively, do you have a suggestion/easy way to download the edited photos from an ipad onto another storage device? Thanks! Loving your videos!

Dear Paul, Thankx to your video I am having very good editing experience on my android phone as well as my Ipad. Two issues- when I make any edits, the picture quality does seems to degrade. Probably I am making too many edits? Secondly, tried downloading Snapseed with Blueracks on Windows10 laptop- results were not good. Labourious downloading, followed by some basic edits like Brightness, Highlights made the picture just go blank! Finally, once saved---do not know where the file goes! Thereafter it is acombination of DiscoveryWild and ScinceFiction to locate the images! Any advice? Jacob, New Delhi, India

I've been using Snapseed for a few years. Lightroom mobile does a better job of shadow recovery, white balance correction, and offers individual colour corrections. If you notice when you raised the shadows they looked greyish, that problem does not happen in LR mobile. But I do like Snapseed. It offers some good tools.

Snapseed recognised most raw files straight out of the camera, however I do not know which camera you are using so maybe do some test shots first, save them to your device and try to open then in Snapseed.

But I'm wondering, is It possible to send the RAW file from my camera ( It has wifi) straight to my mobilepgone and convert It and edit IT without losing quality? I was wondering of there are certain "rules" with how you send it to the device you want to edit it

Dian van Bosstraten I use Lightroom mobile premium version on the iPad. It allows RAW editing. I find my Snapseed does not allow raw even though it's supposed to. I do most edits in Lightroom mobile then if I want export to camera roll then import the JPEG created by Lightroom mobile into Snapseed.

Great video. I have been using Snapseed exclusively to edit my photos on my iPad. Quality both on digital formats and hard copy prints are equal quality compare to Lightroom and what not. However, one thing that I am still waiting the folks from Google is to develop a noise removal feature on this app. Hopefully one day in the near future.
@photogenius
5 жыл бұрын
Noise removal would be great, my tips are to not over sharpen you images as the sharpen and structure tools do enhance any noise in the image.Pushing the shadows and also using filters like drama are also going to enhance the noise. A great app though. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel 👍
