Hey guys, I had to repost this video (and the one that followed) because I wanted to make it more clear that it was in part inspired by Allison Bornstein’s “wardrobe editing system” (the “how” pile more specifically, and pairing those with your favourites), I really can’t take credit for that part in particular. It was linked in the description in the first upload but I just didn’t feel like it was clear enough. Sorry about that, but I always think credit must be given for original ideas and I just felt it was too unclear in the first upload. Despite all the upload messing around, I hope you enjoy my version of a wardrobe declutter and style edit, as always with slow fashion at the center. Love, Signe xx

I watched it before the upload, and I will again, because what you did proves the kind of person you are. Honest, sincere and kind. Many creators wouldn't bother with reposting and would fence off with 'it is in the description box'. You are being a respectful colleague and I'm sure Allison appreciates it. Take care and wish you loads of success! ❤️

Great and very helpful video! BTW, I'm LOVE clothes shopping but kinda clueless style-wise. And you and Christina are such an inspiration for me when trying to style for myself❤

This helped me narrow down the WHYs of what I do and do not wear in my wardrobe. Thank you!

What has worked for me regarding hangers is to use two kinds: velvet hangers for more delicate items that need some grip, and sturdier wooden hangers for heavier items like coats and blazers. Oh, the disaster that comes from hanging wool coats from slim hangers, and linen camisoles looking all sad on a gigantic wooden hanger!

This method seems so much more positive than other “ purging” methods … beginning with your favourites first

I’m so happy you found it useful! I agree, it does make more sense to start with what you are actually wearing first ❤️🙏🏻

Excellent and clear ideas to help identify how to recognize our style and the side by side pictures to see what is good for you and what isn't

This is such a thoughtful, patient way to go through one's clothes. I love it. Couldn't agree with you more about truly deciding if something is WORTHY of donating. Such an important PSA. People will actually donate what amounts to their trash, items that aren't worth anything . I've seen them, left out in the rain, even, by the big bins for donations! Decidedly BADwill...not goodwill. Quite a perspective also how this method/structure makes one think twice before throwing stuff out, because of where it may land in the end. Does help to think about the "final resting place" of one's clothing! Thank you, Signe.💘

Sometimes, creating a separate maybe or "time will tell" pile allows me to get more clear on why I'm not wearing certain pieces often enough or hardly at all. I tend to get impatient or even impulsive sometimes when making these kinds of decisions because my mood tends to change quite a bit.... It doesn't make decluttering easy sometimes, but at least I can say that my style for now is in a place that makes me happy! Now the next eventual step (or process) is to replace what doesn't fit with similar items as I'm starting to lose some weight 😅🥲

Currently, I’m trying to replace cloths that I do like for better quality cloths. Basically the same item, but with better quality materials. Not sure if that’s ridiculous, but I have find out that my closet is 80% polyester. 😒

Not ridiculous at all. Since a few years, I pay attention to the materials my clothes are made of too and aim for more natural materials now. It may have to do with age (not wanting to sweat in polyester anymore etc) or maybe I'm more environmentally aware? In any case when the materials are high quality the clothes will last longer and look a lot more chique. So keep up the good work :)

I never didn’t know what clothes I like wearing. I mean, how can someone not feel what they’re drawn to?
