Hey Haydn, Great video! I really like how you kept the compilation errors. That is what it is like to develop in Gatsby and I think its helpful (if not helpful, at least encouraging) to see that in tutorial videos! When I was integrating ConvertKit using the embeddable HTML, I copied the code from ConvertKit into unminify.com/, which IMO made it a bit easier to see what I needed to chop up. Another thing I noticed was that at 26:25 you left some tags inside the tag. During my integration I discovered that you are able to remove all those tags safely; ConvertKit's JS only wants a tag with attribute data-element="submit". I'm also very glad you covered the part about the success redirect hiding the form at 28:20. You may recall I wanted to get all fancy and pull this off manually. I didn't know that if I had simply left that code in, ConvertKit would do it for me! A final note: at 13:28, you said that the JS doesn't work from localhost, but I am able to test submissions in the development environment (I get the confirmation email and am able to confirm that the subscriber was added to ConvertKit). My notes are admittedly a bit nitpicky. Just wanted to share my experience with you and your viewers. Many thanks for helping me with this integration. Love the content!

Hmmm. For some reason I couldn’t get my form to work from localhost. Just kept returning a loop back to the page. And sweet tip with unminify.com!

Hi Haydn, Great video, really clear and concise. I'm having a few issues when copying my HTML into VSCode though. The double quotations around the long string (particularly the data-options setting) in the form tag seem to be invalid in VSCode, and there is such a large amount of text, I am struggling to see where the issue is - I think it may be related to the use of " "?. On top of this, I have been given a specific form to use, with preconfigured styling and wonder if the earlier steps you take like deleting the style tags would now work for me? I am really new to using ConvertKit forms, I would usually create my own but have been asked to use this specific one and there seems to be little on the internet to aid importing them to React apps with the ConvertKit styling preserved, could you point me in the direction of any useful sources - thanks!

The trick is to basically strip the form down to its bare essentials. One tool you can use is un-minify: unminify.com/ to help your code not look so jumbled. Then it's trial and error. That's how I started. Keep chipping away until you get it working. :)
