Hi Hannah! I think I would use the same as a shirt cause even though it is a thicker material, it is still a knit and fabric can shift and pucker easily. so one layer of iron on poly mesh, then I would float it onto some tear away since it’s probably harder to hoop

So the fusible that you put on the back when all was done was not tender touch or something like that right karlie? It was the same polymesh that you started out with? Thank you for your wonderful videos.....I like how you explain things.....Why does it seem like my tender touch comes off when I iron it on the back? I just use a simple iron. I know that a lot of people on these channels have a heat press and I notice you don't....Is your iron a special iron that gets really hot? I know this video is a tad bit older.....but what has changed for you when you embroider your onsies? Thank you Karlie

Hi Rich, no I don't pre-wash anything I sell. I don't pre-wash anything I make for my girls either so I can see for myself that the shirts or applique material doesn't shrink after I wash them. So wait - you press your stabilizer on AFTER marking the item? I was always told NOT to use heat or iron AFTER marking. Do you ever have any issues with doing it that way? Do you have a hard time removing the ink, or does it tend to re-appear? I'm curious, and have never used the Tide Pen, so let me know! Also, that design looks familiar, can you please tell me where you got it from? People who are not from here probably wouldn't have a clue that it symbolizes Cafe du Monde!
@KarlieBelle
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen, no I never have any trouble with the marks not coming off or re-appearing. I use a water and air disappearing ink marker, but I have heard that other markers can give you trouble after using heat. The marks come off with water or after washing but the Tide Pen really works great for getting them off without having to soak the fabric or wash it. This is great when the item is a gift or something that I am selling. The design is from Joy Kate Designs- www.joykatedesigns.com/p/beignets-coffee-light-fill-vintage-stitch-embroidery-design/ref/12 She has a bunch of really cute Louisiana themed designs :)

Hi Cuong! Yes the cool thing about embroidery is that you should only see the top colored embroidery thread and never see the bobbin thread.
