I did everything in the video suggested and then created my own .txt file and saved it on the desktop then I copied and pasted it in the directory C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 and gave it administrator privileges and that was it :-) So now every time you get a new GPU just add to it in the same manner of this video... During rendering in premiere pro my GPU utilization is 0-2% only, while CPU pops at 100%. The default renderer in Premiere Pro is "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)". The 3D setting in NVIDIA control panel is also proper (Set to high performance and my GPU as default), also I added my GPU name to the file name cuda_supported_card.txt in premiere pro folder. Still the GPU utilization is below 2% and I am facing problem in rendering. I am using Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 Mini 6GB.

So I am taking it that this is ONLY relevant to NVIDIA card owners with CS6 and above. Adobe "ah-doh-bee" (dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/adobe) only enabled a limited OpenCL on Mac OS for the very few AMD GPUs on that platform. For Windows it is CUDA only. With the introduction of Creative Cloud (CC), OpenCL has been incorporated as a standard. CC2014 was a bit clumsy, but seems 'hackable' to work with both AMD and nVidia GPUs, whilst CC2015 is actually properly and legitimately using OpenCL and CUDA. CC2015 should auto detect the GPU without much fuss. I was hoping to carry on with CS6, but I'd have to get an (older) nVidia card, whilst the AMD R9 290 is a great looking buy, it wouldn't be supported. God'dam looks like I'll have to upgrade my software...

Shouldn't everyone have one? I do not have one. I tried creating one.. but it's not working.. I can see that your intelligence is far ahead of mine and I wouldn't even consider a 'sparring of the minds' with you. However, just for the record, the pronunciation of the word "Adobe", is just like this phonetically spelled version: Ă-doe-bee, (if I may be so bold). Thank you for that video tutorial. I happened to stumble onto it while searching for something entirely unrelated. It looked like something I'd like to know, so I watched. I have yet to assess if it can be applied to Adobe Photoshop CC, Lightroom, or Adobe Photoshop CS6 Pro. In fact, it's possible that this tutorial is only for those who have an older graphics card. I have a GTX 1070 and my other desk top has a much older card; an MSI R7970 BE (ATI/AMD?). Because I must resume what I was initially doing, I can't check on those questions just yet, but I will. At any rate, the video was very easy to follow and I thank you. Rich

Thank you Sir for your wonderful Tutorial. In the process I realized that It is really necessary to follow each step for optimal result. It worked for me in Premiere Pro CC 2015 though on 4th or 5th attempt. I knew the name of my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M) so Initially I skipped the step of GPUSniffer, but after being unsuccessful on 3 attempts I did go for gpusniffer step. And while confirming my cards name I saw that It was written "driver needs to be updated". and that's what was causing the failures. Once I updated to the latest driver everything went like a breeze. Thanks once again.
