Based on previous videos questions:
• Baby Curry Leaf Plant ...
In today’s episode, we going to see about separating the baby plants and transplanting it to separate Pots.
It is necessary to separate the baby plants from the parent plant, so that all the nutrients are concentrated and supplied to each baby plants and parent plant independently and they can thrive healthier and better alone. In case if we do not separate the baby plants that grown around the parent plant, the growth rate and the nutrients will be distributed to all the plants in the pot and the parent plant growth will be reduced considerably including the baby plants growth.
This pot here now have 3 baby plants in it. Have already separated and repotted a baby plant a month ago from this pot. And that baby plant is thriving and growing much healthier now. Let’s now separate the rest now.
For separating baby curry leaf plants, remove some top soil from the pot and then firmly hold as well as pull the baby plant with some slight pressure in one hand and dug gently down with a hand shovel to dismember the root.
You should make sure that you have some considerable amount of root in the baby plant, so that it will help them establish on its own when we move them into a separate pot.
So now we got these baby plant separated and now we going to repot this. Make sure that you are using a well-draining potting mix and don’t use strong fertilizers. Since it is not a heavy feeder, it is best to feed it with a liquid fertilizer once in every three to 4 weeks. Make sure to firmly pat the top layer of the potting mix. And water them enough well for the first time.
Some stems may have been attached together, so while pulling out the stem be very careful and very patient… and investigate before you dismember your rooting system. In these scenarios you should not separate the stems. Take some considerable amount of root for both the stems and then plant them as a whole.
