Thanks for sharing your knowledge brother. I normally just leave mine natural when I either boil out or leave them in water for serval weeks. If I was to do the extra and bleach them.. what is the going rate for whitetail.. I get 100 to 125 now just leaving them natural.. thanks again brother.

I rinse my bleached skulls in plain water after whitening. The I use white vinegar to neutralize any bleach that remains on the skull. You may dip the skull in vinegar or use a spray bottle to conserve the vinegar. I never bull a skull as it makes them very brittle. Worse thing to do to a B & C bear skull is to boil it bc it will shrink the skull making it score less. I use the maceration method to prevent shrinkage and brittleness. Yes it’s stinks but I have been using this method since 1982 with awesome results. I also wash the skull in dawn mixed with water to degrease it before bleaching. If You don’t degrease the skull the grease will ease out overtime making yellow discolorations on the skull. Hope my tips help someone.

I've also been using the maceration process myself. I recently just finished cleaning a skull and the blood in the water stained the the base up to the eye guards. Have you ever had this happen and what did you do to fix that issue. They were a light color before now way darker then the rest of the antlers

@@The-Arrowed-Artisan no I do deer skulls and thought I would try a turkey skull. I think I'll try using water in a jar instead of trying to boil it.

if you use to much and leave it in to long you will, that’s basically what I’m explaining in the video is to not use to much, never said it can’t be used.
