Your tutorials have helped me immeasurably in my personal coding journey, so thank you. You make these videos at the perfect level for a high school senior like me and I really appreciate it. Thank you again.

Thankyou so much. By the way is there a way to change the icon of your application instead of the java default one? (I mean Java Tea one) . I'm not sure if that's possible but I wanna know.

Try exporting a runnable jar instead of a jar and do the same thing

Do you need any dependencies to open a jar file?

Hi again. Is there a way we can perhaps name the window? For example when you open eclipse, along the top of the window it tells us the name of the program we are running. Also maybe even a way to change the logo? Thanks Ryi your videos are very helpful to begginers like me. :)
@RyiSnow

You can name the window by typing like this: window = new JFrame("My Game"); What do you mean by changing the logo?
@henrywitt2086

Thank you thats much appreciated. By logo i mean the little icon that appears in the top left of the window beside the name and also in your task bar.

Ah OK. You can change the icon by using ImageIcon. 1. Prepare an image that you want to use for the icon and put into a folder (such as "res"). 2 Type: ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon(".//res//logo.png"); 3 Type: window.setIconImage(icon.getImage()); Then the default Java icon gets replaced with your desired icon. Maybe I will make a tutorial video about this :P

You're very welcome and I'm happy to hear that my videos could be of some help! Oh by the way, if you're thinking to export your program as JAR file, don't forget to change the first line to: ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon(getClass().getClassLoader().getResource("logo.png")); The details is explained in the Ext 8 video. Good luck!

I've been following the Adventure game tutorials and when i execute the JAR file it just opens up the title screen with the text, but the Start button wont work, and when others open it they only get a black window. Do you have a solution? My code is pretty much the same as yours.

Hmm I'm not sure. May I see your code? About others getting a black window, maybe they haven't installed Java on their computers? They don't need Eclipse or other IDEs but still need Java to run JAR file.

You can export it as Jar file. It doesn't matter if it's Eclipse or Netbeans.
