Two steps too many bro. You don’t need to bounce to Rex . You could just bounce to MIDI and right click.

How do you like to add groove to your tracks?

This is my "Go-To" video for this technique. I don't use it often. But when I do, I watch this video to refresh my memory. I heard a live track on KZitem by Pino Palladino, Chris Dave and Isaiah Sharkey, called Just Wrong. Chris Dave lays the foundation of the groove with a SICK "off-beat" drum pattern that I just had to cop! Thanks for the post! Best wishes in the New Year!

FYI, I produced a YT video that showed how I used Reason to extract the drum grooves for legendary drummer Steve Gadd. It's available at kzitem.info/news/bejne/2axprouOcXqLmIo

Nice video but isn't it imperative that your source audio begins on a downbeat to ensure the resultant Rex file aligns your MIDI properly at the start of the bar?

It's not illegal to take a groove from a pop song, most songs out today copy from records of the past.

No doubt it’s totally legal to borrow the groove from any song. But if I play that copyrighted song in the tutorial, then I get a strike

This is one of the things that makes reason very soulful.
