Maxillary incisors have conical roots that allow for rotational forces to displace them without causing root fractures.
Some tips:
1. Lots of forceps work, but the 76S, 150, or 1 forceps would be good choices.
2. Grip the tooth as apical as possible.
3. Squeeze the forceps tightly
4. Instead of applying traction, push the forceps apically as you squeeze.
5. Apply rotational force to dislodge and deliver the root.
