I remember one time I was so dopesick and my buddy and I were driving back from a plumbing side-job with a borrowed trailer, on a borrowed van.....and we found an entire old school house that had JUST ripped all their aluminum siding off their giant sides and had laid it out on the edge of a BUSY state route. We loaded all that sheet aluminum with no gloves, went straight to the scrap yard and then straight to the dopeman......4 hours total hahahaha. They were crazy times. Almost 4 years sober and grateful to not have to scavenge to live anymore!
@Dr.Ead151
Ай бұрын
😂Use to be if you drove to the west side of our town and kept going towards a area they call the narrows which is where the route planners blasted threw a elevated area full of rock along side of a major river leading out of our state. The area was known for tragic deaths from racing and DUI. The road goes in to sharp curves from left to right, all level terrain except the pavement may have turned at sharp angles to help keep the speed achievable when passing through. It wasn't the thrill of zooming through the narrows or the proximity by the river that made this place a fire death trap no it was the county in the neighboring state which was about 4 miles farther west from the narrows fault. They were a dry county up until bout 2014. So the narrows were ripe with beer cans or soda cans from folks who also came to scratch tickets in our state. We could split a 80 on a sat morning pick up cans from about 9 or 10am till 2pm carry cans to scrap by 3. Come home jump in shower get cleaned up, take money and go to the big city and buy us a few more OCs, beer, weed, oh go out and eat go to the mall shit. When scrap aluminum went up to almost $1.75lbs we could fill a 8ft truck bed up with 30 gallon bags we would leave with a 500$ check easy...easy.. best part about it was the cans would replenish within a week and everyone was scared to pick up from being hit on shoulder so it was ours alone.
