Enjoyed the videos! I make fermented dills, but never have cut the ends off-makes sense as you said to let the bacteria enter. Never used a fermenting lid either-that looked handy 😀

thank you!!!! Some folks say there are enzymes in the flowering side and i have noticed a difference in flavor. the main thing is make sure the cucumbers are SMALL. cuc's are fruit so the bigger and older they get their just not good for fermenting because they get mushy.

How long can you keep the pickles fermenting?

These went for five days. If you go longer they get soft. Real soft.

After five days put them in the fridge. Cold is the preservative.
