So beautiful, thank you! Fruit - it sounds like one of those biblical themes Tim Mackie likes to explore.

I desire to be a saint and I know God will help me get there. I think it is so easy to focus on the negative. The stories of the saints are so inspiring, beautiful, hopeful, and fill me with joy. Some of them were so full of life. I absolutely love Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. It is easy to think holiness means being boring, serious, pensive, lonely, stoic, upright, and hurting yourself through excessive penances. God wants us to enjoy life and I do not know why I think sinning makes me more interesting and less boring.

@@ctmcatholic The sins of the flesh are often the most enticing because with modern technology it seems like there are no real consequences. The emotional repercussions can be considered an issue for those with certain temperaments

Very helpful reflection Fr. Columba. I particularly liked the idea of “good temptations”, and that Satan wants us to think that enjoyment and joy are contrary to God’s will. I will discuss this with my children. God bless you, JCF

Wonderful. I have been having some deep temptations resulting in anger following the passing of my wife 3 months ago. This message was so what I needed at this time. I was turning to secular KZitem videos which was adding to the anger but this seems so beautiful.

If I'm tempted by the flesh I try to remember my commitment to social justice and care for creation. How important it is for me to be walking through the world in a state of grace, ready to obey in small things, available for the Holy Spirit to manifest the risen Christ through me to make a better world.. A few times after resisting the flesh a great opportunity happens later that same day to do a small work for God.. Ohh, so that's why the voice in the left ear was wanting me to do whatever sinful thing!

@@ctmcatholic I heard the first one and there's at least one a day. Your subjects are right on. I sometimes envy your devotion, and your knowledge. I have to learn to live in this world, BUT I rest learning "real Life from God"... "When I'm not in situation of perfection", I turn to God, looking for His forgiveness. And, while I have to wait for the opportunity, I get sensitive, in a "listening mode" and prayers. It gets me to humility, how low I could be and how perfectly powerful He is through "the Only Truth". I believe our global situation is a chastisement. I'm not afraid though, but I know that God calls us to Him through this. I pray for people to "take those last grace of Listening to Him" while we can through this narrowing pacing time. So, yes, "you're in God's timing" for me to listen. Thanks for your generosity! God bless!

Thank you Father🙏🏻 i love this story from our dear heavenly brother St.Augustin. All you said here is so true and so helpful! i feel called to share another quote from our sweet Maryam of Bethlehem: To her Carmelite sisters: +“If each of the lambs looks at herself as the least of all, the Blessed Mother will be with her. Follow the word of Jesus. Don’t ever get discouraged. Satan will come, furious, to tempt you; don’t ever listen to him. Listen always to the Shepherd. Never listen to satan; he is jealous. When he comes, humble yourself. If Jesus permits him to tempt you, it is to help you grow.”+ 🙏🏻🕊🔥 Wishing you many blessings and a deep grateful joy +in JMJ+ Angèle
