During a recent fishing trip on the St. Joe River in Idaho the fish were not cooperating with my lures. I made a switch to fishing a dry fly on spinning gear and it helped. In this Trout Fishing tip I go over a long used tactic of fishing dry flies on spinning gear. This was an effective method I used to catch some finicky Cutthroat Trout on the St. Joe River in Northern Idaho recently, where they were activity feeding on topwater insects and avoiding some of my conventional spinning lures.
