My 7yo son is obsessed with your videos. As soon as he wakes up in the morning, and gets home from school he is straight onto your channel. We now have to check every boat we pass if it's you on our days on the water! Thanks for teaching him so much

Good information. I like this style of presentation, well done. The first fish looked a little stoned, didn't even realise he was hooked 😂😂

Excellent. I love small streams. Ilve been trying one just recently-very open country with almost no cover, and complex flows. Very challenging., but full of fish. So many challenges-list a big one and a small lone so far. but learning all the time. Nice work here. :-) (Australian)

That’s the way man. I’d love to fish one of those “snowies” style rivers . Small and open for heaps of small trout. That would be amazing

@@AdriftFishing Thanks. I haven't done any of those uyett here are similar ones nearer home (Sydney)/ really hard but I'm learning. Spooking fish is so easy, as you say. And I'm pleased I'm ot the only one who gets finr sine tippets and they are almost there in an instant. :-)

Great vid mate, been waiting for this one for a while. Ive only ever been on these sort of smaller streams once or twice, and the thing we found was if the fish didn’t eat it in the first 3 casts it wouldn’t eat it on the 20th, having said that it was a spring fed creek so super clear water and a sunny day. Maybe a vid on finding new trout spots would be good in future, I know it’s a slightly guarded topic, and any sane trout fisho in SA would never give his spots away, but it would make a great vid. Cheers🤙

It would make a great vid if we had more options to choose from, but can’t give too much away in SA, it’s not Nz after all 😂

Solid advice and a great video. I’ve been meaning to get the fly rod out for stream bashing. What length leader + tippet do you find is best for working creeks of this size?
@AdriftFishing
2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, appreciate that. Normally around a rod length or 8’ longer gets hectic on the tight ones and pays no benefit really. But shit I’ve had 20’ leaders in nz springs and spooked fish 🤯
