I really want to know how much trouble is fixing tubeless flat tire (with sealant, of course) on trail road. Could you do that for us? I beg you, please.

Simon, you know you're using the one tire lever specifically designed to avoid pinching the inner tube, right? Wedge the rim between the slot on the rear of the tool then push the tire back into place. No need for thanks or free merchandise - just please don't let any of my roadie friends know that I'm watching this channel.

Made it harder on your self by finishing at the valve, you should start at the valve to make it easier.
@joshajohnson
9 жыл бұрын
By finishing at the valve, it allows the bead of the tyre to sit in the middle of the rim on the rest of the tyre, giving you more slack and therefore easier to put on.
@TheMrDavidCurran

Agreed with the last reply. Always finish at the valve.
@janb4406

Josh Johnson And if you experience that the tire makes a bump around the valve, you just take the valve and press it up into the tire and then it's easier to pop it into place.

May have been worth mentioning the option of using a CO2 cartridge to inflate the tire. It can definitely save a bit of time.

It only takes 30 seconds to pump it up
@MrJay_White

my trick is a table spoon of mineral oil pumped into the inner tube before i set off. anywhere you get a puncture the oil will come through, which can be cleaned off with grass to allow good contact for a patch then just spread on the solvent & apply the patch as the kit instructs. no need for a whole new tube, no need for water to search for the puncture.

When you are trying to get the tyre back when you get to the tricky part, release some air off the inner tube and "pop" the bead in =) Anyway thanks for this video and the others.... Suscribed=) !!

Everything functions properly kzitem.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of KZitem. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!

This isn't telling us how to repair a puncture. This is how to replace an inner tube. I think everybody knows how to replace an inner tube. But if you've never repaired a puncture while out, one might ask, how does one find a tiny hole in a tube without a bucket of water handy?

Good demonstration. For anyone who can answer this: I ride a mullet bike converted to tubeless 27.5 x 2.8 in the rear and 29” x 2.6 in the front. Is there one tube size I can carry with me to install in the event of a flat? I’d rather not carry two tubes. I’m thinking the 29” tube will fit good enough in the rear wheel to get me out of the woods?

I'm in between two brands now, Giant and Santa Cruz. I like Santa Cruz but I've read that they don't always live up to their frame warranty, they always try to make it seem like the rider was negligible. XC riding is never a sure sport nor is it easy on the frame. Makes me lean towards the Giant, Santa Cruz is too expensive to be both made in Taiwan and give customers the run around. The only negligence is warranty uncertainty.

It's spelled "tyre" in UK, GCN and GMBN is based in UK so they'll follow British English grammar and spelling rules. Another example would be some of their videos about bike frames, they would call the alloy frame "aluminium" frame instead of "aluminum" frame, notice the added "i" in the word?
