What kind of e6000 glue should I use to reattach soles on my boots? When I went to the Walmart website there were several versions of e6000 glue. Thanks

Extremely well made video .. No historical comments or empty speech, right to the point, yet detailed. I love the month later follow-up and the response to inquiries of down-the-line durability. I wish all instructional videos were this well made!! I have several boots that need this repair (yes, I'm the original 'don't throw that away, I can fix it some day' guy). THANK YOU!

Yeah brotha, those rubbery glues are great. And super easy and pretty forgiving. I used to use Goop /Shoe Goo and now like E6000 even better. Have made at least a couple dozen repairs to various shoes and boots, often the soles just like yours, and also other parts. I also clean with alcohol, and use tape etc to hold in place while glue dries. I have some military desert combat boots where the leather on top splits where it flexes, (making holes thru to my feet). I clean by dry-brush and sometimes alcohol, then apply a layer of glue (with a piece of tape on the inside of the hole), working it into the leather around the hole, then put a piece of cloth/fabric on the glue, and then put another good layer of glue on top of it, so the cloth is encased and keeps the glue from splitting in the same place the leather split. This has worked amazingly well for months/years of frequent, fairly rugged use, miles of hiking etc. And if the repairs eventually fail, I think I can just redo them. Have used E6000 for a gazillion other things as well (like your spray bottle). Good shyte! 😁

When this happens on this type of a shoe you need to pull the hole sole off and clean it and re-glue the whole thing. Because if you don't the other areas where the glue is dried that you did not repair is going to break loose at a later time and you'll have the same problem all over again

You should go for a 6-8 hr hike. I doubt they will hold up. Only soles that will last the distance and time are those that are sewn.

@@skatetwopurt So you don’t throw things away? That’s dumb. Planet Earth will be ok. It’s a really big place. It will be a long time before we run out of room to dumb our stuff. Trust me. By the time that happens, we should be able to start dumping on the moon or Mars, because by then it will be a lot easier to get to those places. We will have people living on other planets before we’ve entirely covered this one up with garbage, and when that happens we can just leave all the trash behind and start dumping on a new home planet. You will be long gone, anyway, so it won’t be your problem. You are being a baby for no reason. To be totally honest with you, every time I read a comment like yours, I immediately go outside and burn a tire, and then I empty an entire can of freon into the air, for no reason really, except for spite., because people like you annoy me so freaking much. Don’t be such a little titty baby. Nobody likes you when you act that way. It’s time for you to man up and grow a pair. Good luck.
