The ceiling fan in our van has been chirping for MONTHS and we FINALLY figured out how to fix it!
First, not even shown in the video, we tried spraying lubricant into the motor. This didn't work for more than a day or two. Next, we greased the bearings. This worked for a few weeks. Finally, we replaced the bearings altogether.
608Z is the part number for standard skateboard wheel bearings, which the MaxxAir fan motor uses. These drop in easily and seem to have resolved the squeaking issue.
Like the video, it helps KZitem know we're good and that other people should want to watch us, too. Spread the word. Tell your neighbors! As always, if you like the video, let your friends know. If you don't like it, let us know!
