Hi Denise! I came a crossed your page yesterday when I was searching for “how to use a Kong toy.” For being a first time dog mom, I’m so grateful to stumble upon your page :). We recently adopted a Staffy bull terrier, she’s about 11 weeks old. She’s good most of the time, but sometimes it can be a bit frustrating, especially during potty time. When it’s potty time she wants to run around and chew on everything in sight, instead of “taking care her business.” It’s so hard to get her to listen. Another frustrating thing is, she thinks that I’m her Chewing toy. I really want to be a good “dog mom” to Loola. I don’t want to do, act or say the wrong thing that could caused trauma to her, or caused her to become aggressive. Oh I wish my Loola was as obedience as your three fur babies :).

Slow down SClark! She's 11 weeks old! Puppies have an attention span of a nanosecond. Check out our on-demand house training course and you'll have her trained FAST. denisemazzola.com/product/potty-training-for-puppies/ She doesn't care where she potties, inside - outside, it's all the same to her. Giving her firm boundaries will be a blessing for her. Dogs are very black and white. If she puts her teeth on you for any reason, give her a time out. Tie her to your refrigerator, or a piece of furniture. She must experience losing access to you and her toys to learn that teeth on people does NOT work. Pick up the book: Meet Your Dog by Kim Brophey. You'll LOVE it. If you have more questions, book an Ask Me Anything! everythingdog.as.me/AskMeAnything

Karla, remember, your dog is looking out for his/her best interest. Plants are fun and you probably give the dog all your attentin when he/she is being naughty with the plants. You need to manage this situation. Make your plants inaccessible to your dog. And at the same time, walk your dog 1 hour a day, letting him sniff and be a dog and provide him with plenty of brian toys. kzitem.info/news/bejne/p4yLp5ZvanSeg5w or kzitem.info/news/bejne/jq-HroyDonyAmnY

Hey Debbie, thanks for the comment. Sounds like your dog needs some more enrichment. You think she is being naughty, but from her perspective she is having a BLAST! Right? Look at our Brain toy video and how to stuff a kong and try giving her more "hunting" experiences in your home. And/or rotate her toys every 5 days. Thank you. You have my interest. I’m always looking at my agenda and never the dogs. I have two dogs and the 2 year old Jack Russell is so keen on getting to the beach for his off lead run that he pulls the whole way with the exception of two minutes when he thinks. I’d better walk to heel. He also gets over excited that he jumps up on me if the other dog manages to steel the ball that I now take two balls on the walk.

Hey Diane, sounds like your dogs agenda is to get to the beach ASAP and if pulling you gets him there faster, all the better! Good for you for bringing more than one toy with you! Over arousal is the biggest struggle we have with more of our clients dogs! Glad the video helped.

Hey Evelyn, lunging at the TV is Ellie's behavior, but what is her AGENDA? What is she hoping to accomplish?

Amy & Denise's Private Channel I’m not sure about that...prey maybe? It’s usually animals but also animated things get her too. She stands in front of the tv and stares. I call her away or take her collar if she doesn’t move away and put her in her bed or have her sit by my feet at the couch. If she lunges before I can get to her she goes in her kennel for a short stay.....

@@evelyncarter2358 (sorry, forgot to switch accounts on previous reply) Yes, her agenda could be prey, she also sounds super visually stimulated. Check out the vid on calming caps. That may help Ellie alot.
