First, love your Prevost vids, please keep them coming. Second, please make a video about your Bluefire Engine monitor. Where you got it, how to hook it up, and set it up. I would like to do this for my H3-41.

Love your videos about the Prevost. Suggested video I really could use. Please explain in detail the 24/12volt complete battery system. Also, how to track down a power drain ground fault. Which is driving me crazy! I have two alternators, a plug-in battery charger, and a battery balance system. Thanks very much. Todd

Thanks for the suggestion, Todd, I'll add it to the list. Truthfully I have to learn a bit more about that system myself - my previous RV was a 12V setup for both chassis and house. Is your dual alternator setup with one being house side and one chassis side or do they both feed both sides? Mine has a single 50DN alternator that feeds both sides.

Great video, thanks for posting. We don't have a Pre vost, our RV is a Newmar Dutch Star (2003) and I've been thinking about the power steering fluid(I think ours is hydraulic fluid. As far as getting the new fluid in the system couldn't you stick that suction hose down in a container with the new fluid in it and have it suck the new fluid in? Our RV is 39', how many gallons did you end up needing. I wonder if that additive you used would work with ours. I would love to tighten up our steering a little. Man I am so jealous of the side access you have. We have a side radiator also but not that kind of access on the passenger side. Thanks.

Thanks Rick, glad you enjoyed the video. The process should be essentially the same for your Dutch Star. You’re correct, you could put the long hose into a 5 gallon bucket to suck out new fluid as opposed to dumping it into a funnel like I did. That should work just fine and might be simpler in some ways. I had bought 6 gallons and have used basically all of it. I ended up putting 5 gallons in during the initial flush/drain, then filled the reservoir with about 1/2 gallon initially and roughly another 1/4-1/2 after running the engine and bleeding the air out a bit. The side access is great, one of the things I really like about the Prevost. But the Dutch Star is a great coach! My cousin had one.

That’s a BlueFire for motorhomes that I ran on my previous RV as well. It connects through the engine’s computer and gives me more data on what’s going on with the engine. I was going to do a review on it at some point.

Would be great if you did one on the engine coolant change out if you’re bus hasn’t been changed to the long life coolant the Red stuff.

It’s got green coolant in it currently. I was planning on changing it to the red stuff and doing a video when I do so. I’m also likely going to change out some/all of the coolant hoses when I do that.

@@TedsGarage I’ll be watching out for that one for sure. Been thinking about doing it on my H-3 just waiting to see how it’s done haven’t seen any videos on doing it. Enjoy your videos. Nothing like fun working on these great machines.

The links are at the top of the description. The filter in the power steering reservoir I bought from Prevost, check the parts manual for the correct part number for your bus.
