Jared Rudiger, Head Volleyball Coach at Fort Collins High School, describes how he fosters a program culture.
Equal treatment: No matter the skill level of the players, each athlete is treated with the same respect, is expected to work hard, and is given equal opportunity to improve their skills.
Family: Instill a sense of family, belonging and accountability into the program. This will motivate athletes to compete and perform for one another.
Worth ethic: As a coach, make it clear that you expect hard work every time an athlete steps on the court or in the weight room.
