only a question and not a critique... I never understood why when framing a wall, why you wouldn't cut "spacers" to make your oc perfect. So a 16" oc pattern, cut 16-1.5=14.5" "spacers to nail into the sole and wall plates? It adds strength and absolute precision for your walls. I know it adds weight as well and requires longer fasteners to secure to the subfloor/foundation as well as your 2nd floor or roof trusses, but after building out a Toy hauler with steel studs that were NOT 16" oc and always off a bit in every imaginable direction - I lay awake at night dreaming of actual 16" oc studs... It would also add the added rigidity a rolling earthquake that is a tiny home/Toy Hauler conversion as it goes down the road. Setting up the jig to cut all of these "spacers" out would be a snap and make framing up walls easier, quicker and more accurately, no?
