Finally a fussy cutting video where someone turns the paper like I learned to do from my Grandmum way back when she taught me to cut out Paper Dolls! Really telling my age !! Lol !! Great tutorial Donna ! Fussy cutting is one of my favorite things to do when I just want to relax. That sounds so weird when I say that, but it does relax me. Think it reminds me of special times with my Grandmum !!

Hi Donna, we go to the hospital three times a week... I am learning how to needle him (which I have been doing for about 11months now) and learning the machine so we can go home and do it... we have copious amounts of appts most days... Saturday and Sunday we are at home, all day... lol... well, after Church on Sunday of course... not sure if we will ever get home... there is lot that has to happen, and I don't know if we can achieve it financially. Which is fine, because I don't mind doing my bit in his treatment where ever we are... Cheers for asking...

Same! I've heard the term a lot for years on YT and I just translated by "well, it's just cutting", never realized and never heard before it meant leaving a space around! I also never realized that you had to make swallow cuts. I knew about moving the paper instead of the cisors but I was just using the whole length of my cisors as well. Thank you for this videos, Donna :)

Thanks so much. This was great! I felt like an idiot not knowing what "fussy" cutting was. I actually thought it was using a specific 'brand' of scissors. BOY DID I FEEL OUT OF TOUCH!! Always made items & never really worked with paper. I have always cut right on the lines & hoped I wouldn't accidentally cut the image. This "technique" is great & I'm going to incorporate it in my projects. Thanks again. We are NEVER to old to learn.😉🤗

I think the the true definition of fussy cutting is when you cut right up to the image ie not leaving a border......but actually cutting into all the intricate bits of the pattern that is where the term fussy comes from. Leaving a border is not as intricate.

Gday Bridget Thx!♡ for your lovely compliment. I pre-cut the frame and because it was a beginners video i decided not to do that on camera.
