Good stuff, people do not realize the weak point on stock Hemis is the ring gap, guys out making 800,900+ hp with stock pistons ring gapped

It’s more of a precautionary measure. You want to have properly gapped rings for your application. For example: the tighter gap for an NA build bs a boosted build. From factory, 6.1s have a relatively tight ring gap that can lead to fracturing or even breaking the top ringland. It’s pretty common to regap rings and throw it back together to make more power reliably.

This is basically a 6.1 right I have an 06 jeep srt8 that im going to start doing the same thing to my new rings 0.024 on top ring and 0.028 on bottom ring

Wonder if there's a spec for built NA race engines. Gapped my piston rings to .020 according to a math formula for billet forged pistons..
