15:45 for a 5k? That's how I know this guy didn't go to college in California, I couldn't even medal at a varsity invitational in high school with a 15:45

A good D1 school you will need to run in the low 15s maybe 14s to get a FULL scholarship But you can still get some scholarships running a pretty good time at least sub 16 at any school Another thing most D2 and D3 schools can't give full ones, so doing well in school can help you get more scholarships to go with the running that may help a lot. Hope this helps anyone

Contact the coach at the schools you are interested in. D3 coaches will also send letters out to runners too, even though they can't offer a scholarship.

It never hurts to contact them. Send the coach an email telling him/her that you're interested in their program and want to know more about it.

D3 doesn't give out running scholarships. Some coaches will work to get you an academic scholarship if your grades are great and you're going to run for a D3 school.

Hey I'm currently in middle school and I'm turning to high school in about six months, currently I've won tournaments competing within other schools among my age and my 4km time is 17min and 15 seconds, so you think it's possible for me to run as fast as 14:50...

I'm a middle schooler in 7th grade and this is my seconds year and I can run a 18:30 in the 5k and I can most likely break 18 by next year or by the end of summer since I've been training very hard

If you do really well at State, coaches will come up to you. Either way, a lot will be at that race.

I am recorded as one of the fastest in 100m in my city. I got picked for a competition and came 1st with no training. I have all the medals in my drawers and I'm 14,what should I do?

Loose that attitude. There are hundreds of thousands of "fastest in my city" kids in the US.

jrockercutie06 no offense but you probably not get a scholarship because my brother runs in the 17:00's and 18:00's and did not get a scholarship!

17:00's and 18:00's aren't good enough to get a scholarship
