As an A2 and car license holder I feel like doing the full bike license is more of a chore than anything so I can't be bothered. I don't need a bigger bike since what I use my bike for doesn't need more power and it would only cost more insurance wise. The only benefit I personally see is probably lower insurance if having a full license has any effect on that. Maybe when I have money and will I'll do it but now I'm happy with A2

Eastern Menace I kind of know where you are coming from. ..I've never taken a bike test of any kind. ..only taken cbt. . (Now in my 50s) passed my car test in my 20s and stuck with a 125. .which was good enough for me as I only ride occasionally due to health I then bought a piaggio mp3 500cc leaning trike which I'm entitled to ride on my car licence. ..its also good enough. .i have thought about doing a full bike test but due to the amount of milage (*or lack of) I ask myself is it worth the money and hassle.

I had the same thoughts being a 125 rider for many years. Passed the theory as a first step and a year went by. One day I forced myself to ring a local school and part ways with 600 quid. Passed mod 1 and 2 first time and couldn't be happier....1 year on I still have not brought a big bike lol. Guess its nice just having the feather in the old cap. Just be prepared to wave goodbye to 600 quid (more if depending on fails) and you won't regret it.

If I get it right, after you passed your cbt, you don't do direct access. It's Theory, Mod1 and Mod2 for A licence (or A2 if younger? don't know). Direct access is everything combined, cbt theory mod1 mod2 if I get it right. Correct me if I'm wrong.
