This video is for all the digital nomads out there. Go from no mobile signal at all to a strong rv 4G internet connection by just using an antenna and router.
For just a data connection you don't need a booster. A good directional antenna will get you decent internet speeds to run your website, make video calls, upload photos etc
In this video we explain the differences between omni antennas and directional antennas.
An omni antenna usually needs to be set up once and it works equally in all directions, but it does not have the same range as a directional antenna.
Depending on the type of traveling you are doing, the best rv internet option usually is a directional antenna. You will have to set it up each time you stop in a new place, but the setup only takes about 10- minutes. We also show you how to set your directional antenna up in your camper van.
You will need to know which way to point your directional antenna and we show you the basics in this video.
You can use any Australian network approved travel router with your antenna, like the Nighthawk M1 or M5, any Teltonika routers (rfshop.com.au/... ) or Huawei etc.
We use and recommend the Poynting X-POL-2 directional antenna. We also have set up a kit on our website: you can get the antenna, router, coaxial cables and the router power cable all in one: rfshop.com.au/...
