Awesome suggestions, two things I'd recommend personally is firstly to buy a graphite crayon (a really chunky stick of just graphite that lasts yonks!), they cost about £1.70 in the uk, it let's you cover large surfaces quickly, ideal for covering a page as you suggested, whilst at the same time saving your expensive pencils for drawing. Secondly invest in some deli paper, its really good to protect graphite art in sketchbooks (i use a piece of washi tape to hold it in place wax side down, i also found it pulls less graphite up if you lean on it whilst drawing. Thank you for sharing these tips and that gorgeous squirrel drawing, i look forward to hearing your other tips. With best wishes lindz

Great tips thank you Lindz :) I do actually use a 6B graphite stick when coating the "carbon" paper. I have been using the stick for years and it still looks new :)

Thank you very much Nolan for the great tips and tricks. As with all your tutorials, very informative and useful. Some are things known and forgotten so thank you for the refresher and some were new, never heard of before... thank you for your continued generosity, you are a blessing to me in my art adventure.

Which sharpener do you use to get that nice long point on your pencil. I've just gotta beg, borrow or steal a sharpener like that. Mighty nice. Do you use one of those two step sharpeners I've heard about? Thankee kindly.
