If it doesn’t cause you vision or balance issues, you might watch your hands through the full movement of each exercise. @sma4827

@@jeffreycinto3219 that's just factually untrue. unweighted isocentric holds are maybe not as effective as dynamic resistance training to build muscle mass but they work pretty dang well at working your slow twitch (endurance) muscle fibres which are less dense but just as if not more important. Physiotherapists often use these exercises as a starting point for building the muscle to correct their patient's biomechanical movements (ie. I'm in physio to correct scapular winging caused by thoracic outlet syndrome and one exercise I've been doing every day is rolling my shoulders back and down and holding it there for as long as I can to build endurance in my serratus and lower traps. Since good posture requires good muscle endurance, training isometric holds are incredibly important.) Only after holding these positions for long duration of time gets too easy should you be introducing weights or resistance.

I’ve been incorporating these into my workout routine, getting quite a few stares at the gym but they definitely work! My forearms were really sore (the good sore thankfully) after my first day and after doing them ever day for five days, I have noticed an improvement in my grip! My only thing is if you have knobby/bony fingers and/or thumbs, be careful or wear gloves because my thumb joints have been getting pretty close to blistering and it’s cut my sets short. Apart from that, solid advice! Thanks for sharing! (Edit: the blisters are from the pinch grip, I’ve been doing 3 stets of 10 reps spinning (like a car tire) rubber 10lb bar weights and the friction is what causes the blister, should have clarified, my bad lol)

So what's the plan increase the reps so that you actually make progress because without progressive overload it's pointless waste of time what are you supposed to just do a thousand reps eventually this is stupid

What do you recommend if the meaty part of your thumb hurts and sometimes the wrist from constant gripping and grabbing like at work you know sometimes you got to grab stuff that may or may not have grip and throughout the whole day that gets kind of old and it starts hurting and that enables my grip to be there if I ever needed it in a dangerous moment like hanging on the cliff or something

Dude as a martial artist I’d like you to try the rice bucket workout, it a lot of fun, a little messy, but cheap too, that in its own right will increase a lot too😂❤
