Dude. Started tinder last week after finally being single again first time since 2015. First day was decent. Got a good amount of likes. So I bought gold lol. Got unlimited swipes and saw who liked me. I made a huge mistake swiping right on like 90% of what I saw for a few hours lol and then the algorithm destroyed me. I barely get anything now. I tried to swipe left for 2 days to get out of algo hell and still didn’t help. I’m a good looking guy too. The system is laughable. Now tinder is ruined for me and I’ll have to be more selective on the others. It’s just insane though how a rookie could make a mistake day 1 and never be able to get out of hell. Psychological torture.

Todd, if you can manage it, I think the most powerful form of content you could release about online dating would be case studies of guys who are not conventionally good-looking, but by implementing your advice, they start getting results. That could really help give some guys hope that it could actually work for them, despite the fact that it hasn't yet.
@Paul-yk7ds
Жыл бұрын
@regisjohnson4958 Hey I know it's kind of stupid, but that's how human psychology works, and so that's how persuasion and marketing has to work, too: People need to believe that something is possible and can work for them, in order to decide it's worth putting effort into pursuing it. I'm assuming that Todd's recent focus on online dating content means he's gonna launch another online dating product in the coming months, and I think what a lot of guys would need in order to buy (and implement the free advice too), is more hope that it could actually work for them. So I was mostly giving this comment as marketing advice for Todd. I'm not like morally supporting people's laziness or pessimism haha.

Get off all dating apps. Work on yourself. I say this all over YT.... go to the gym, focus on your career, your body, your finances, your mind. Meditate, pray, go to the gym, find hobbies you love, make lots of male friends, stay away from drugs (porn, alcohol, etc...) and watch how much you like yourself. When that happens, you are in control and a woman is simply complementing you, not completing you. Never depend on anyone or anything outside of you to make you happy. Be your own happiness. Fast forward your life to when you are 70 and you have kept up your game physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, etc... Her looks will fade, her body will sag. YOU are the PRIZE brother, not her. Remember that.

As an attractive guy who gets alot of likes, bio doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is your looks and how well you take photos. Tinder is all looks and aesthetics. You could literally only have "lol" as you bio and you'd still get a ton of matches if you're attractive with good photos. So the best way to get more matches is by hitting the gym and "looksmaxxing". Get a haircut that suites your face, get a solid skincare routine, wear lifts if you're on the shorter side. Do all that and take good pics and you'll instantly start getting more likes, matches, and dates.

I've been on about 500 first dates myself, and I agree 100% with almost all of his points. I'll add to one: Regarding voice / video. I don't do it all the time, but only situationally. It's a game changer however. Look into voice exercises and good lighting for your webcam. You want to knock it out of the park on first impression. If you improve the timbre and pitch of your voice, and reduce nasal sounds even if it only last for a couple minutes when she first picks up it's huge. (Obviously also being a great conversationalist is key, so work on that as well) Regarding the ask out: My experience has been different, however my demographics might also be different. I date almost exclusively STEM women, and entrepreneurial women. I've found that attempting to assess their preferences in any way has worse results than making a proposal and allowing them to counter. (This goes for text date requests only. In person you can vibe a lot more in the back and forth) For most people having too many choices is a bad thing because people are horrible at making decisions. So, I instead propose large appeal dates. Some don't like coffee, some don't like alcohol, but EVERYONE will drink tea. And, while I used to spend time micro optimizing things like finding square tables to sit on an adjacent corner, and having dim lighting like in a pub, the truth is going from date 0 to date 1 is way harder than date 1 to date 2 (At least for me), so presenting an option that's really easy to say yes to has produced the maximum result. (Often if any distance is involved or if the person is busy this is in favor of video / calls as he said) Additionally, I basically don't text at all after setting up the date. I'll say something like 'Great see you then! I've got it in my calendar. Here's my number in case you're running late on saturday! Talk to you then :)' This is for multiple reasons: 1) If you spend 10 hours texting a girl over a week before meeting her, you're likely wasting your time because you'll be highly interesting in less than 1/3 first dates. 2) Its very easy to be mundane over the course of a week and have them lose interest. And if you're constantly being a bit edgy to be interesting, you'll eventually take a wrong turn that you couldnt' see coming. If you had already met the wrong turn is only a minor negative. Before you've met it might blow up. Pre meeting is like options trading. You want to make high leverage risky bets (Because of the concept of dating 10% that are wildly into you rather than 100% that are meh), but if you get a few good rolls and win the date, know when to cash out.

I asked one of my dates why she had matched with me and she said immediately my bio, saying it was like one in a hundred. I’m articulate and used that in my bio. Language is SOOO important in appealing to the feminine imagination, and if you don’t tickle a girl’s imagination you won’t get anywhere near tickling her in anyway at all. As always Todd is wonderful and as he said also in other videos, online dating is here to stay and probably will grow even more, but to me Dating Game = Comfort Zone, furthermore it is pointless, online there are different things that can be easily misunderstood, sometimes it's not properly easy to convey a joke, your personality and I believe that online makes the game even more random because there are girls who have tons of guys messaging them, tons of followers and they never read your messages, instead with cold approach face to face with a high level of eye-contact, good body language and good voice tone you make a great impact, and the girl hardly forgets about you, unless you don't do stupid stuff, with a bio and a picture on a dating app you can easily fake your personality and it's very hard to emerge among people who have a very weak game but wonderful pictures

True, I believe the better you can make your photos look, the better your responses will be. However, the ultimate goal is not to get more online matches. It's to get the result you want in real life from the matches you get. If someone can't accept what I look like on an average day I've set myself up for failure, plus the time and expense of a date. If that's the case I'd rather they not match with me in the first place.

Sweden, the best country in the world with perfect climate, most beautiful language (which I have learned) and culture that I would really fit into. Jag vill leva och dö i Norden ❤

(I can't even apply for a swedish visa because it has to be done with an embassy in your country of residence, in my case Russia, and I am not going there) So even if I were married to a Swedish girl, it wouldn't get me there 😢, because even for a sambo visa I would have to apply from the country of residence, and I have no other residence.

I tried six dating apps, and all the women wanted to do was to chat on the app forever. They never wanted to meet, and I have been catfished on each of them multiple times.

What's a good photo rating site, I know about photo feeler, but that's about it. The problem I've got is that unlike women, I'm not taking a photo (more like a selfie) every 5 mins and I feel weird about trying to capture every moment in a photo

My experience with paying for premium seems to be the opposite. My matches actually decreased paying for premium. (I actually feel like its the opposite of what u said. I think once they see youre a sucker they want u to keep paying by giving u less matches.) I have no proof of this of course..😂😂

I’m 5’4” tall. On profiles that make you put your height. Should I “lie” and put taller or not ? Pros and cons ? Thanks Todd !!

Here’s my response: “I don’t want to surprise you. But, I will be shorter than you. I won’t need a ladder to have a conversation with you. But, some people are kind of shallow about that.”
@adanalyst6925

“Rounding up” is fine and recommended if you’re on the edge, but if you lie they’ll be able to tell when they meet you in person and that might seriously turn off a girl that would’ve otherwise been interested. I’ve had such reactions where girls I met looked nothing like their pictures. Honestly some people on dating apps tend to be really shallow, if they weren’t judging you on your height, they’d judge you for something else. Just make sure to maximize your profile so people don’t reject you based on stuff that you can control!

Lying is smart cuz lots of cute girls filter out guys under 5 10”. Giving us short guys ZERO chance of matching. so if we lie. At least we have a CHANCE. “So you’re saying there’s a chance!!!!!”
@zeedstun891

pros: You get a chance to text and possibly meet. You get a chance to project your personality before she makes her final judgment. cons: If youre insecure about your height, expect to get ripped apart. If you dont know how to slip in your height into the conversation in a way thats either fun or makes it not matter, expect to get ghosted in person more often. Most girls that care about height ,care because their friends care about height. If you dont know how to work a group then youre wasting your time. summary: if youre going to lie, you need to have good game. He doesn't mention it here but social media works better than dating apps. Having other people as social proof works better than dating apps. very similar to finding a good job, its better to know people than have a good resume.

@@johnny-mnemonic13 it got too pubilc and people began sabotaging it. game doesnt work if you make yourself an outcast. theres a huge difference between being different and being ostracized. Not a big deal if your game is good, its a huge deal if youre just starting and already filled with anxiety.

Any advice for a guy that literally cannot drink alcohol on the dating front?
@andrewna5903
Жыл бұрын
I don’t drink, and it’s never been an issue on a date, especially cus I use hinge and I mark “no” on the alcohol symbol. I always plan dates over dinner or ice cream. You’d be surprised how many women prefer not meeting up for drinks (I.e., using the prompt, “instead of drinks, we could…”). With that said, I’ve taken dates to cocktail lounges after dinner and just order something non-alcoholic (pineapple juice is my go-to). That way you can still reap the benefits for talking in an intimate setting. I used to be really insecure about not drinking, but once I owned it, it actually made me more attractive to women. I jokingly tell them: “I don’t drink, but I like women who do. It always gets a laugh. I hope this helps!

this is so dystopian, i just approach women and say hello to try and have a chat. Its fun to see in real life that this way you already avoid people with bad social skills because they will mess up their chance to have a nice chat. And a nice Chad

I don't envy anyone going to this much of effort with women cheating in these apps. Really. Don't seek valuable women in apps. Most of the times they aren't there. Go out, get a life and you will succeed much faster and with less expenses. Good luck out there, brothers.

Jesus Christ, this has become so damn complex and takes so much effort. It's like you need to take entire courses and devote half your days to figuring out and tweaking this shit... what's happened to our world? Feel like it was so much simpler back in the pre dating app and social media days.
