The ZO6 is certainly for racing enthusiasts as far as Corvette goes, I would definitely agree, although, the stock 495 horsepower Corvette is definitely not a supercar. I'd buy it cuz it's a great bargain for the money, you can't beat it, unfortunately GM doesn't even make a lot of parts for 2020 models yet, including a front bumper if you get in a fender bender which kind of stinks as far as customer service and planning for a company that's been in the business a while. If you try to take any stock ZO6 on the road at 60 miles an hour & honk your horn three times, or off the line or at any speed next to 7S20 McLaren's and GTRS Porsches & only 750 horsepower Ferraris & the vet is not in that race, that's why it's not a Supercar, it's closer to a pace car next to real super cars yet they are in the mid-engine business finally,so, getting closer, now, if you go to a place like LMR on the KZitem videos who has specific packages for all the Corvettes and put in a twin-turbo cams, Pistons fuel system, cat. back ECT. Which might run you $20,000 or so you will then have yourself a 200mpr super car for sure with maybe a little, or way too much power for that frame & suspension and handling engineering & possibly kill yourself because remember now it's a straight line car if you're lucky, it isn't going to corner like a Porsche on a Bonneville track, no way, too much power for the handling and suspension stock engineering design & even in stock it's not going to corner like a GTRs, please, American muscle cars have not equaled supercars, if you watch videos at airport runways they've lined up every make and model of fast cars multiple times & as big of an American Muscle fan as k am, reality is, they're not in that race, not a demon, nada, not nothing stock & there's definitely a ways to go to get there. Usually it's the 911 GTRs that leaves everything in the dust over and over including the McLaren 720 when they go anywhere from a quarter mile up to 2 miles or so.

@@davidschreiner4411 I don’t know if you’re familiar with IMSA racing or not but the factory C8R won the 2020 championship it’s first time out. Quite an accomplishment against the coveted factory Porsche GTRs, etc. The McLarens and others you mentioned aren’t even racing in the same class as the C8’s. The C8’s are in the GTLM class and the McLarens are in a lower GTD class. This is simple to look up and verify at IMSA.com.

Yeah, except for not making a ton of parts for 2020 models, they don't even have a bumper available yet for those who don't get the automatic front-end lift & catch a speed bump or something & need to replace it or get in some other sort of situation like a fender bender & GM has discontinued a lot of the extras that some people who ordered early received and others that had ordered & were waiting where then told sorry they've been discontinued, also 2020 models with less than 600 miles are getting a transmission leak already from the transmission gasket, bummer, & not to mention they had to shut down production in the plant because they didn't have parts to make the cars who should be managing that besides themselves,so, management could have been better.

I am #244 for a Z06 Convertible at MacMulkin. Since they are the 2nd largest Corvette dealer (based on 2019 sales of 795 Vettes) and the largest in Z06 sales, I am right where I want to be, which I am guessing will put me processing a formal order about 9 months to a year out from the first Z06 rolling off the line. I want to get a good feel regarding the performance and give Chevy time to work out any bugs before I order. Since the price for what I want IMHO is going to be $130-140,000, a $2000 refundable deposit is miniscule. I ran my C5R-427 at Road Atlanta and I am definitely missing that track rush. I normally do not typically respond to ridiculous posts, but for yours, I will make an exception. It is very likely that 90% of the people commenting here can't even afford a 2022 C8, let alone a 2022 C8Z, which will be north of 110K for the higher trims. Your comment is ludicrous, as GM simply does not sell, or produce, enough Z06s, to support your ridiculous claim of 310 Z06 deposits down at one dealership. Totally ridiculous. My dealership is in the top five of all Corvette sales nationwide, and they are not even close to that number... And yes, I am a collector, and have four Z06s and two ZR1s. Flipping cars has become such a popular business that the same people throwing down money on Z06s are doing the same with hummers and other brands that produce lower quantity cars. @@JohnSuchman Sales means numbers. The C8 is a sales catastrophe. Its the worst selling car in GM history. One reason is the stupid price. The 2020 MY had to be extended to 19 months to reach the C7s worst year. The C8 is expensive because all production has been cancelled to keep prices up, plus they spent $5.5B on ruining the C7's perfect balance. They could have given away all Corvette sales for five years and come out ahead. But instead, 8 year old C7s with lots of miles and no warranty (GMs warranty is a laugh anyway) cost about the same as a new C8.

@@FFE-js2zp can I ask why you only posted 2Q results? I can see where the problem is if the MY was extended... I see you addressed that no other car was affected when they really don't have many other cars to be affected. Trucks are the main profit makers and they had to keep those going, as a business decision, from my understanding.. At any rate, it's too early for me to judge.
