Hey Dane, how many times should i be incorporating plyometrics per week in the rugby season?
@GarageStrength
2 жыл бұрын
I think so. I would just focus on less stressful plyometrics during weeks of big games and probably avoid riskier exercises like HIGH Box Jumps. Great way to stay explosive and improve coordination.

Great video! Would love to see a video on how to stay fast as f**k for as long as possible. I used to be a pretty fast sprinter but a couple of long term injuries have reduced my ability to train how I used to. I'm finally injury free and training again but I'm the wrong side of 35 and I want to stay as fast as long as I can.

This is why a 40 y time is more important in track than football: it only gives you an estimate on a person's fast twitch fiber percentage. It doesn't mean you're a good or great football player. Tom Brady : a prime example but to be fair his speed is more important in moving around in the pocket and a shuttle speed for a quarterback is a better functional measurement. Each position in football has a different functional relationship to the 40y dash. A lineman' s 10y or 20 y time is much more important than a 40y time. But yet Brady was drafted low because of his 40y time. Even as a 60year old I could run under 5 sec for my 40y. But at 5'6"" 135 I am not playing Pro Football. Brady has actually gotten faster from his workout program. Like this video!
@aurick341
