Throw all the likes at this man! Great information as usual. I do the same type of germination test. The heat mat has changed everything for me. Because I can almost grow year round, the heat mat helps get things going really fast.

Haha thank you Tres! So cool that you can grow year round 😲 do you keep the heat mat only for the start or longer?

@@TheFarmDream Only until the seeds just germinate. I only have it on when I am at home but it still makes things so fast. I imagine how quick things germinate if the heat mat is left on 24 hours a day.

Great! Just how I would want to use them. Giving them a head start and then letting them do the rest 😁💪🏻 I would probably also not turn them on when I'm not at home... 🔥 🚒

That was a great explanation of a big subject! Well done! Love to know what kind of heatmat you bought and where (Ali?). I have a small growroom in de garage with a led light and a small "heattube". Problem is the isolation is not good enough, so a heatmat might help. Or better isolation.

I've chosen to go for a reptile heatmat. You need to be a bit careful with water and these mats. But they are way cheaper and give the same result! Also sounds to me that would be cheaper than isolation upgrades 😂😜

Hello, how many hours of light per day do you suggest during germination of most greens?
@TheFarmDream
3 жыл бұрын
Hey! My current setup is 16 hours of light a day. You can go a little bit less to 12 hours or more to 18. But they do need some dark period 😁

I have a mini green house inside my green house. It gets hot in there. Is that bad? There's plenty of moisture inside the mini house

Hi Marina, It depends a bit on what you are growing. Most vegetable plants don't like to be in a very hot/humid climate. But if you are growing melons or peppers in it you might be fine. It's best to look at what temperature your plant needs.

I'm too impatient too test. If seeds are old I sew six per module. Four modules per type of plant. I will be happy with one-four perrenials for each.

That's a great solution! I might need to do the same for a few seeds. There has been a major snowfall so I'm running behind. 🤣
